FAQ

What Is a Giclee Print?

Giclee fine art print refers to a digital reproduction using state of the art inkjet technology. The name comes from the French word Giclee (pronounced Zhee-Clay) which means `spray` or `spurt`. Not every digital print is a Giclee print however, only digital prints that are created on special high resolution printers utilising specially formulated inks and media under strict printing standards. The media is carried by a spinning roller while infinitely small pixels of rich, vibrant inks are sprayed on it at a very high speed. This renders an amazingly smooth and consistent image true to the original painting or photograph, a superb quality fine art reproduction.

Will printed canvas look the same as the image I see on my computer screen?

We cannot guarantee the colours will be identical as individual computer monitor settings/profiles may vary. The colour of printed canvas may be slightly lighter/darker than the image you see on your computer screen. Furthermore, images may vary slightly, depending on the size you have ordered due to image scaling.

What is the best way to maintain my canvas?

To maintain & increase the life span of your canvas do not expose it to continuous, strong sunlight or moisture. Do not clean your artwork with a wet/damp cloth, use instead a soft sponge or duster lightly on the surface.

Think of it as a way of remembering things that you are interested in. You are not committed to buy until you take your selected canvases through to the checkout. However, you cannot purchase an item until it has been added to your cart, so remember to check the content of your cart carefully before you check out.
